Viewing fine photography over the internet is relatively new. It has some positives and some negatives. The pluses are that it is convenient for out-of-town family and friends, but it is bad for properly showing the quality. I consider it a great way to "peek" at the photos and really only proof them.
There are few things that the internet can NOT do yet. My photographs are only of the highest quality. What you see on your computer monitor cannot do them justice. There are several reason.
First, a your monitor can only show the photos at 72 dots per inch. A finished photographic print is around 4000 dots per inch.
Also, do not judge an image on whether it appears too light or dark or colors are not right. Unless you have a calibrated monitor from a "spyder" it will be different than the finished product.
I will make the final cropping, and color correction and a professional lab will print them on the finest photographic or art papers.
The internet proofs are not retouched and the nicer finishes come with retouching.
